THE WISE OLD WOMAN (YOSHIKO UCHIDA)

The wise old woman is about a young lord in a little village in japan who think the old people above 71 years old is not able to work or useless and he decided send them to the mountains and finish their lives over there, but a little farmer decided hide her old mother in a small room under his house in order to avoid the punishment from the lord and she is able to solve the problems the village had and the young lord accepted old people again in the village because of their wisdom.

I value most the advice of old people because they have learned a lot of  knowledge durin their lives

•  What is the young lord's reason for sending the old people away ?

Because he thought old people are  useless and they are not good for work 

• Why does the farmer take his mother to the mountains ? Why does  he bring her back  even though he might be punished ?

Because her mother  had reached the limit of age in order to being taken to the mountains ans he brought her back home  because he didn't bare the situations .

• Who is lord Higa ? What will happen if the village  does not meet his demands ?

He is conquer lord from beyond of the hills and he anted to conquer the village if they don't meeet his requierements

• Explain why the young lord is angry with the wise man. why is the old woman able to solve the village's problems?

Because he went to get answers about his problems and they didn't know the solution and the old woman was able to solve it because of her knowledge gained during her life

Lord Higa noticed that the small village had a lot of wisdom and the young Lord realized how much wisdom old people had, and the two reasons are about how te wisdom is important to solve problems and it doesn't matter the age of the people.
